I have enjoyed many meals at Tony’s, one of my favorite places in Houston. Tony Vallone first opened the doors to his restaurant on April 1, 1965, and it is now serving guests in its third location. A small group of longtime diners has taken a majority stake in the iconic restaurant and a renovation is underway. I look forward to seeing its new look when I am next in Houston, and ordering white bolognese rigatoni and lamb.
I always take pleasure in leafing through the wine list at Tony’s, and here’s a look at the man now in charge of it. His name is Carlos Luján, and he’s the subject of the latest Wine Talk, which you can read here.
